This
bat is from one of the most Favorite of Yankee Stadium's Give
away, Bat Day. This Mickey Mantle, Bat Day Bat, was made by
the Hillerich &
Bradsby co. of Louisville, KY. This bat I believe to
be from 1968/69. One way of telling the year the bat was
from, is by the printing "New York Yankees"
this one is in print. a Bat from 1970 will have Yankees
written in "script" The Bat when it was new had a solid yellow finish. Most
bats from that era have most of the Yellow finish
missing, with the wood grain showing through, or bare
wood. This one is very good.
