Baseball memorabilia is a collection
of artifacts that keeps us
close to the game we love, preserves
the glory of our heroes, and a
spiritual return to the years of our
youth. It is no wonder that we want to
surround ourselves with mementos in
remembrance of days gone by. The KeyMan Collectors Showcase allows you to share your display with other
collectors, and the opportunity to
enjoy theirs. You can pick up some cool
ideas, or inspire others.
Joe of the
Antique Sports Collector
Room, collects Anything and Everything
Antique Sports. Joe's been collecting
vintage sports equipment and
memorabilia from all sports for the
past 25 years.
He collects equipment, ephemera, tickets, buttons, pennants, games and
more... just about anything and
everything vintage sports! An extensive
collection of baseball gloves and bats,
as well as vintage baseball uniforms,
he does not usually collect autographs
or game used equipment, but does
collect some baseball cards - (51
Bowman, 53 Topps, 54 Topps)! You can
visit his website
Antiquesportscollector.com to see
more.
Justin of Folsom, California enjoys
putting together shadow box displays.

Skip's
"Childhood Memories" Memorabilia
Room includes Mickey Mantle - Pre

to a baseball event. His favorite piece
of baseball memorabilia is the bat,
ball, and second base from his son’s
first Pee Wee home run... "In case of
fire I’ll grab that first!"
Skip started collecting in 1959, the first year he bought Topp’s Cards and
got his first Mickey Mantle. He saved
his 1959, 60’ and 61’ cards and never
sold them or gave them away. "There is
no dollar value in a collection that
makes you reminisce and give you back a
moment of your youth. The best
collections are the ones that the owner
enjoys and no money can buy. There is
no price on fond memories."
Shawn
of the
Chevrons and Diamonds website has
been interested in baseball and
military history since he was a kid.
Bringing the two interests together has
opened his eyes to the service and
sacrifice of so many ball players who
traded their flannels for the uniform
of their country.
On display in his
Chevrons and Diamonds Showcase Room is just a
fraction of the decade's-worth of
acquiring artifacts. Baseball Militaria
includes; uniforms, equipment,
ephemera, and vintage photographs. His
favorite Item: Waldron Naval Auxiliary
Air Field Road Jersey. |
